STYCON Drywall Partitioning is an effective method to divide open areas into smaller rooms by the use of a track system.
Standard drywall framework consists of floor tracks, studs and 12,5mm boards. There are two systems that are used
namely - the small system (76mm) and big system (89mm). Plaster is skimmed over the joints to ensure a flat
continues look. Aluminuim doors and windows can be added.

Drywall partitioning is quick to install and most typically used in Office, Industrial and Commercial buildings.

Fire Rated Drywall Partitioning
Fire Rated Drywalling is used to slow down the speard of fire through a building. Fire Rated Drywalling is mostly found in
warehouses splitting the office with the workshop. Fire Stop Doors are also used in fire rated drywalling.
 
Metal Drywall Partitioning.
This type of dry walling is typically used for security purposes, high quality drywall materials are used and installed to the client's total satisfaction.

SPECIFICATION:

The system should consist of 2 layers of 15mm fire rated drywall board fastened to both sides of steel drywall system including
studs, floor tracks and ceiling tracks. Fixing and fastening must be in accordance with building standards and should conform to
the general installation guidelines for drywall, with maximum centres at 600mm apart.

All steel components should be fixed together with wafer head Tek screws to give stability to the frame work. Steel metal sheets
to be added between drywall frame and drywall boards, metal sheets are fastened with wafer head Tek screws or pop rivets.
Joints can also be welded for extra strength.

All drywall joints are to be taped with a fiber tape and plaster with skimming plaster to avoid cracks.

A purpose made insulation can be added between the drywall studs to add extra sound insulation and fire resistance.
